Why Modi 'lost' 2024?

 The 2024 election results were nothing less than shocking, disappointing and distressing. No one, even world media was not expecting such outcome. Though Modi is forming NDA led govt. but this govt will not be a govt. like last two govts. Since BJP got less than 272 seats so Modi has to rely on alliance partners and these partners will wrest higher share, blackmail Modi against taking hard decisions which we were expecting from him and he had been hinting very clearly recently. 

Here are some reasons that I see why Modi lost.

1. UP, Rajasthan and TN were the shocking results and caste politics played its role here. In last few months caste issue was being raised very prominently by political parties and it played its decisive role.
2. BJP mainly lost in rural areas. Fake news by NGOs, Congress and et al on BJP removing reservation if comes back to power, this changed mind of rural population. 
3. BJP had made this election Modi centered, heavily concentration on him, making him larger than life figure, Modi doing too much or "I", almost declaring himself unborn, divine was too much for me to accept, so probably some voters didn't like it. Not sure.
4. Druv Rathee videos played huge role in brainwashing public with fake news.
5. 400 Par was a suicidal campaign this time. It made voters compacent. 
6. Modi explicitely calling anti muslim rhetoric during campaign probalby backfired. 
7. Controversial ship jumpers from other parties being given tickets just at election time.

हमारा घर परिवार 'आदर्श हिन्दू घर -परिवार' कैसे बने ?

आदर्श हिन्दू घर-परिवार: हजारों वर्षों से हमारी संस्कृति जीवन्त संस्कृति बनी रही , इसका प्रमुख कारण है ' परिवार ' । हिन्दू परिवार हिन्दू संस्कृति की प्राथमिक पाठशाला है । हमारा परिवार देव संस्कृति का संदेशवाहक है । मानव जीवन के चार सोपान ( ब्रह्मचर्य, गृहस्थ, वानप्रस्थ, सन्यास ) में से गृहस्थ आश्रम को सबसे श्रेष्ठ माना गया है ।

परिवार व्यक्ति की रक्षा करने के साथ ही राष्ट्र की भी रक्षा करता है । अतः परिवार की रक्षा करना आवश्यक है कुटुम्बो रक्षति रक्षितः । परिवार से समाज बनाना, उसमें मेलजोल बढ़ाना , संस्कारयुक्त व्यक्ति का निर्माण करना, चराचर जगत की समस्त सृष्टि के साथ सहयोग व आत्मीयतापूर्ण व्यवहार तथा वयं का भाव विकसित करना, इन सभी बातों के लिए परिवार की बहुत बड़ी भूमिका है ।
भारतीय समाज रचना में परिवार का सर्वाधिक महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है । आदर्श परिवार से ही आदर्श समाज रचना सम्भव है । परिवार समन्वित कर्तव्यों व अधिकारों की कर्मभूमि होता है ।
परिवार अस्ताचल सूर्य जैसे अनुभवी वृद्धों से लेकर उदीयमान सूर्य जैसे शिशुओं का एकत्रित स्वरूप है । हिन्दू समाज में प्रत्येक के कर्तव्य पालन में दूसरे का अधिकार निहित है । परिवार में ' हम और अपनापन ' भाव जब तक रहता है ,कौन बनेगा , इसके लिए झगड़ा नहीं होता, स्वतः निर्धारण हो जाता है ।

परिवार का भाव पनपने लगता है , परिवार टूटने का बीजारोपण हो जाता है । परिवार का प्रमुख परिवार टूटता नहीं है और जिस दिन परिवार के किसी सदस्य में ' मैं और मेरा ' का प्रमुख समन्वयकारी होता है । अपने यहाँ कहा गया है :

मुखिया मुख सो चाहिए , खान - पान को एक ।
पाले पोसे सकल अंग , तुलसी सहित विवेक ॥

दूसरे परिवार की लड़की बहू के रूप में आकर परिवार में गृह स्वामिनी बन जाती है । ऋग्वेद में कहा गया है :

सम्राज्ञी श्वसुरे भव सम्राज्ञी स्वश्ववां भव ।
ननान्दिरि सम्राज्ञी भव सम्राज्ञी अधि देवृषु ॥ ( ऋग्वेद 10-85-46 )
अर्थात परिवार के वृद्धजन नई बहू को आशीर्वाद देते हैं - हे पुत्री , ससुर की दृष्टि में तुम महारानी बनो , सास की दृष्टि में महारानी बनो , ननद की दृष्टि में महारानी बनो और देवरों की दृष्टि में महारानी बनो , यही हमारा आशीर्वाद है , यही हमारी शुभकामना है , यही हमारी शिक्षा और यही हमारा उपदेश है । -

हिन्दू धर्म में प्रत्येक मनुष्य के सम्पूर्ण विकास में सोलह संस्कारों की व्यवस्था है । विवाह तेरहवाँ संस्कार है ।

परिवार में उत्तरदायित्व का कोई लिखित प्रावधान नहीं होता । परिवार में अनेक प्रकार के कार्य रहते हैं । परिवार का प्रत्येक सदस्य अपनी क्षमता और योग्यतानुसार कोई न कोई कार्य स्वयं अपने जिम्मे ले लेता है । उत्तरदायित्व न निभाने पर कोई दण्ड का विधान भी परिवार व्यवस्था में नहीं होता है ।


हिन्दू समाज की विशेषता रही है कि हमने सम्बन्धों का विस्तार किया है । सम्बन्धवाची शब्द जितने हमारे यहाँ उपलब्ध हैं , उतने सम्भवतः विश्व में कहीं भी नहीं हैं । हमारे यहाँ अंग्रेजी के समान Maternal ( मातृत्व ) या Paternal ( पितृत्व ) जैसे केवल दो शब्दों से काम नहीं चलता ।

हमारे यहाँ तो प्रत्येक सम्बन्ध के लिए एक निश्चित सम्बोधन है । नौकर को भी काका आदि , नौकरानी को काकी , चाची आदि कहकर पुकारने की प्रथा रही है । केवल मनुष्य नहीं पशु - पक्षियों एवं प्रकृति के साथ भी हमने सम्बन्ध स्थापित किया हुआ है ।

जैसे बिल्ली मौसी, चूहे मामा, सूरज दादा, चन्दा मामा, बादल चाचा, बिजली रानी कहकर उनको प्रेम व आदर के साथ पुकारते रहे हैं । दुर्भाग्य है कि अंग्रेजी भाषा ने रिश्तों की दुनिया को समाप्त कर केवल ' अंकल - आंटी ' तक सीमित कर दिया है

पश्चिमीकरण का दुष्प्रभाव विगत कुछ वर्षों से अपने देश के जीवन मूल्यों पर भी बना हुआ है । संयुक्त परिवार टूट रहे हैं , वृद्धाश्रमों की संख्या बढ़ रही है, पति - पत्नी में तलाक के आँकड़े बढ़ रहे हैं तथा परिवार में सम्पत्ति के झगड़े बढ़ रहे हैं ।

' हम दो , हमारे दो ' या ' हम दो, हमारे एक ' के कारण रिश्तों की दुनिया सिमट रही है । इसका दुष्परिणाम है जनसंख्या असंतुलन । सम्भावना व्यक्त की जा रही है सन् 2050 तक हिन्दू अपने ही देश में अल्पसंख्यक हो जायेंगे ।

संयुक्त परिवारों के टूटने के कारण परिवारों में संस्कारों का क्षरण होने लगा है और इस कारण मातृशक्ति पर अत्याचार बढ़ रहे हैं । यद्यपि प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में महिलाएं आगे बढ़कर कीर्तिमान स्थापित कर रही हैं ।

आदर्श परिवार वह माना जाता है , जिसमें घर की सज्जा , घर में संस्कार देने की पद्धति, परिवार की भूमिका आदि में राष्ट्रवाद, धर्म एवं संस्कृति के प्रति आस्था, अपने श्रद्धा केन्द्रों व अपने महापुरुषों के प्रति सम्मान का भाव प्रकट हो ।

पारिवारिक जीवन पर बदलते समय में पड़ने वाले दुष्प्रभाव को समाप्त करना दुष्कर कार्य लगता है परन्तु निम्न कुछ बातों पर परिवार में चिन्तन या व्यवहार हो, तो अपेक्षित परिवर्तन आ सकता है :

1 . सायंकाल परिवार के सभी छोटे - बड़े सदस्य भगवान की आराधना - प्रार्थना साथ - साथ करें ।

2. प्रतिदिन एक बार , सम्भव न हो तो सप्ताह में कम से कम एक बार सामूहिक भोजन करें ।

3 . सप्ताह में एक बार परिवार के सभी सदस्य एक साथ मिल - बैठकर परिवार से सम्बन्धित किसी विषय पर परस्पर प्रेम व विश्वास के साथ चिन्तन व चर्चा करें तथा परिवार में संस्कार वृद्धि हेतु कुछ प्रयोग शुरू करें । जैसे सप्ताह में एक दिन दूरदर्शन रहित दिनचर्या का पालन तथा किसी एक या अधिक परिवारों को अपने यहाँ आमंत्रित करना अथवा किसी परिवार में अपने परिवार सहित जाना ।

4 . जन्मदिन पर केक काटने तथा मोमबत्तियाँ बुझाने के स्थान पर देव दर्शन , दीप • जलाना , भजन कीर्तन करना तथा जिसका जन्मदिन है , उसके द्वारा दान दिलवाना चाहिए ।

5 . परिवार में किसी शादी विवाह व मंगल उत्सव के अवसर पर अनावश्यक आर्थिक प्रदर्शन न करते हुए बचे हुए धन का किसी सेवा कार्य में उपयोग करना । शुभ अवसरों , उत्सवों आदि के अवसरों पर सेवा बस्ती से या अपने घर में कार्य करने वाले सफाई कर्मी , आयामहरी आदि को भी अन्य मित्रगणों की भांति आमंत्रित करना तथा उसी आदर भाव से उनके साथ भी व्यवहार करना ।

6 . परिवार में मंगल निधि कोष प्रारम्भ करना तथा उसमें संग्रहीत धन को सेवा कार्यों में लगाना चाहिए।

7 . परिवार के सभी सदस्य अपने जीवन व्यवहार में ' स्व ' के बोध को दृढ़ करें । जैसे - स्व - भाषा, स्व - भूषा, स्वदेश -स्वदेशी, स्व - तंत्र, स्व - धर्म, स्व - संस्कृति, स्व - अनुशासन आदि ।

8 . यम एवं नियम का पालन करें -

धृतिः क्षमा दमोऽस्तेयं शौचम् इन्द्रिय निग्रहः ।
धीर्विद्या सत्यम् अक्रोधो दशकम् धर्मलक्षणम् ॥
अर्थात- धृतिः ( धैर्य ), क्षमा, दम, अस्तेय, शौच, इन्द्रियनिग्रह , धी ( विवेक बुद्धि ), विद्या, सत्य और अक्रोध - ये धर्म के दस लक्षण हैं ।

9. सेवा व्रत का पालन करें-

परोपकाराय पुण्याय , पापाय परपीड़नम् ।

अर्थात- दूसरों की भलाई से बड़ा कोई पुण्य नहीं है और दूसरों को कष्ट देने से बड़ा कोई पाप नहीं है । यही सब ग्रन्थों का सार है । मात्र धार्मिक कर्मकाण्ड से पुण्य नहीं मिलता है ।

How Hindu Gurus failed our Society!

 Swami Prakasanandendra Saraswati with all due respect Swamiji, Ramdev baba did not need school system to popularise yoga and pranayam to entire country and world a large extent. Swami vivekanand did not have privilege of education system to revive hinduism, Adiguru Shankaracharya did not have system to make hinduism again religion of India. These all three just went on the streets, spoke to people and we saw the results. Muslims are not radicalised in India in the schools but in mosques on Fridays. Missionaries are not converting hindus in schools but on streets. Why not our hindu gurus can use the streets to popularise teachings of Gita on the streets, why not gurus make hindus proud of their culture? What you wrote above are just alibis. If hindus talk about important things in regular pravachans, society will become aware, confident and proud of their culture, religion and history. Alas, gurus left this task so parents don;t know what to do and that left kids in dark as there is none to teach them. Why not gurus talk about pride in doing the work based on caste? How many hindu dharma gurus talk today on issues affecting our dharma? NO ONE. How many spoke on love jihad? How many stood behind Swami Yati in Dasana temple issue? I heard hardly any. Our gurus have become status conscious, they want power and followers. Why have our gurus given space to Nirmal baba and likes? Indians are hungry for gyan and goodness but gurus have left that space to be occupied by charlatans. I have seen a Shankaracharya criticising Modi on frivolous ground when it's in Modi's time that laymay today can speak about his issues. We need another Shankaracharya today. We need another Vivekanand today. We need a fearless yogi today who can revive hinduism and awaken Hindus.

36. When ministers used to make hundreds of crores through any event such as common wealth games. Now, that sort of corruption has ended.
37. When Prime Minister used to say on stage “Muslims have first right on our resources”. Now the PM says “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas". There is a difference in their ideologies.
38. When the condition of national highways was pathetic. New expressways are now being inaugurated regularly. Road transport has been transformed.
39. Trains used to stink & it was difficult to wait for 30 minutes at railway stations. They look clean & hygienic now.
40. It used to take over a decade to get the bulletproof jackets approved for security forces. There were absolutely no jackets precured between 2009- 2014. Now we see Rafael & S- 400 being delivered to India. Political willingness.
41. When the meaning of freedom fighter was just Gandhi Ji & Nehru. Deserving people are being recognised now.

Diwali 2020: Resistance and Resurgence

Diwali 2020 has been extremely special for Hindus world over because this was the first Diwali we celebrated after the last year's Supreme Court judgement paving way for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya after battle of 492 years. The start of Ram Temple construction added to the joy of Diwali this year. And Yogi govt of UP did ensure that Diwali becomes special by lighting up over 6 lakhs oil diyas, thus making a Guiness World record, decking up the sacred city of Ayodhya in beautiful and majestic lighting. 

However NGT (National Green Tribunal) dictate driven ban by many state govts (both BJP and non-BJP) across India on the crackers dampened the spirit of Hindus not only in India but also across the world. I am deeply disappointed sitting here in Bogota, Colombia even though I am not very fond of crackers and I am not directly affected by this ban.

It's not that we Hindus don't care for the environment, in fact we hindus care the most as ours is the lifestyle completely tuned with nature at its very core, it's not that we hindus like to go against the authorities, in fact we hindus are most law abiding citizens across the world, to the point of docility, it's not that cracker bursting is the only way to celebrate Diwali, in fact that's just one small part of this grand spiritual festival. What bothered us the most is that govts, and NGT wakes up only just before Diwali for the polution, and after banning it during Diwali, they just go into deep slumber doing nothing across the year. The same story has been repeating for many years. Diwali crackers can not be cause of pollution for India throughout the year. They why only ban Diwali crackers and why not tackle the issue in more holistic way?

Also there is trend that everyone from govts, to NGOs, to celebrities, to institutions and private organizations come and lecture us Hindus on all our festivals and our religious practices but stay mum on festivals of other religions and their practices. This has been going on for years now. Hindus have been observing this attitude silently.

This is now having spring effect on the Hindus, We were 'oppressed' and to certain extent we did let ourselves be oppressed but only to that extent. The spring is now releasing. Hindus are now seeing the intention behind. and as a result they are responding by resisting the cracker bans, by becoming aggressive in expressing their views, and by becoming assertive.

During Diwali, despite bans, people burnt crackers across the cities defying the authorities. NGT, govts should take note of this absurd ban and be rational in their approach. Else it will only make militant instincts prominents in the populace.

I wish this Diwali authorities have some sense and work on a year long holistic approach to the pollution menace. Hindus will happily help even by voluntarily giving up if they don't feel discriminated. And thus we can have greener world.

The Beauty of Sanskrit Language

 संस्कृत भाषा का कोई सानी नहीं है।

अंग्रेजी में A QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG एक प्रसिद्ध वाक्य है। अंग्रेजी वर्णमाला के सभी अक्षर उसमें समाहित हैं। किन्तु कुछ कमियाँ भी हैं, या यों कहिए, कुछ कलाकारियाँ किसी अंग्रेजी वाक्य से हो नहीं सकतीं।

1) अंग्रेजी अक्षर 26 हैं और इस वाक्य में जबरन 33 का उपयोग करना पड़ा है। चार O हैं और A,E,U,R दो-दो हैं।

2) इस वाक्य में अक्षरों का ABCD.. यह स्थापित क्रम नहीं दिख रहा। सब अस्तव्यस्त है।

अर्थात्- पक्षियों का प्रेम, शुद्ध बुद्धि का , दूसरे का बल अपहरण करने में पारंगत, शत्रु-संहारकों में अग्रणी, मन से निश्चल तथा निडर और महासागर का सर्जन करनार कौन? राजा मय की जिसको शत्रुओं के भी आशीर्वाद मिले हैं।

आप देख सकते हैं कि संस्कृत वर्णमाला के सभी 33 व्यंजन इस पद्य में आ जाते हैं। इतना ही नहीं, उनका क्रम भी यथायोग्य है।

एक ही अक्षर का अद्भुत अर्थ विस्तार।

*माघ कवि* ने शिशुपालवधम् महाकाव्य में केवल "भ" और "र", दो ही अक्षरों से एक श्लोक बनाया है-
भूरिभिर्भारिभिर्भीभीराभूभारैरभिरेभिरे।
भेरीरेभिभिरभ्राभैरूभीरूभिरिभैरिभा:।।
अर्थात् धरा को भी वजन लगे ऐसे वजनदार,वाद्य यंत्र जैसी आवाज निकालने वाले और मेघ जैसे काले निडर हाथी ने अपने दुश्मन हाथी पर हमला किया।

किरातार्जुनीयम् काव्य संग्रह में केवल "न" व्यंजन से अद्भुत श्लोक बनाया है और गजब का कौशल प्रयोग करके *भारवि नामक महाकवि* ने कहा है।

न नोननुन्नो नुन्नोनो नाना नाना नना ननु।
नुन्नोSनुन्नो ननुन्नेनो नानेना नन्नुनन्नुनुत्।।

अर्थ- जो मनुष्य युद्ध में अपने से दुर्बल मनुष्य के हाथों घायल हुआ है वह सच्चा मनुष्य नहीं है। ऐसे ही अपने से दुर्बल को घायल करता है वो भी मनुष्य नहीं है।घायल मनुष्य का स्वामी यदि घायल न हुआ हो तो ऐसे मनुष्य को घायल नहीं कहते और घायल मनुष्य को घायल करें वो भी मनुष्य नहीं है।

अब हम एक ऐसा उदहारण देखेंगे जिसमे महायमक अलंकार का प्रयोग किया गया है। इस श्लोक में चार पद हैं, बिलकुल एक जैसे, किन्तु सबके अर्थ अलग-अलग।  

विकाशमीयुर्जगतीशमार्गणा विकाशमीयुर्जगतीशमार्गणाः ।
विकाशमीयुर्जगतीशमार्गणा विकाशमीयुर्जगतीशमार्गणाः ॥

अर्थात् अर्जुन के असंख्य बाण सर्वत्र व्याप्त हो गए जिससे शंकर के बाण खण्डित कर दिए गए। इस प्रकार अर्जुन के रण कौशल को देखकर दानवों को मारने वाले शंकर के गण आश्चर्य में पड़ गए। शंकर और तपस्वी अर्जुन के युद्ध को देखने के लिए शंकर के भक्त आकाश में आ पहुँचे।

संस्कृत में यह श्लोक पाई (π) का मान दशमलव के 31 स्थानों तक शुद्ध कर देता है।

गोपीभाग्यमधुव्रात-श्रुग्ङिशोदधिसन्धिग।
खलजीवितखाताव गलहालारसंधर।।

श्रृंखला समाप्त करने से पहले भगवन श्री कृष्ण की महिमा का गान करने वाला एक श्लोक जिसकी रचना भी एक ही अक्षर से की गयी है। देखें-

दाददो दुद्ददुद्दादी दाददो दूददीददोः।
दुद्दादं दददे दुद्दे दादाददददोऽददः॥

यहाँ पर  बहुत ही कम उदाहरण लिए गए हैं, किन्तु ऐसे और इनसे भी कहीं प्रभावशाली उल्लेख संस्कृत साहित्य में असंख्य बार आते हैं। कभी इस बहस में न पड़ें कि संस्कृत अमुक भाषा जैसा कर सकती है कि नहीं, बस यह जान लें, जो संस्कृत कर सकती है, वह किसी और भाषा में कहीं और नहीं हो सकता।

2017 -18 में 6.86 करोड़ लोगो ने इनकम टेक्स रिटर्न जमा किया जो कि 2013_14 से 80% ज्यादा है लोगो ने सालाना 2.5 लाख रुपए कमाय है जबकि 2 लाख कामाने से तुलना करे तो 120% ज्यादा होगा

यदि इसी प्रकार चार- पाँच सालो में 80- 120 % कि बढ़ोतरी प्रत्येक सरकार 1947 से करती रहती तो हमारा देश इस समय किस ऊँचाईयो और बुलन्दियो पे होते

Fake IT Success of India

 India has so far banned over 200 chinese apps, but China hasn't banned even a single Indian App? They don't have guts to ban our apps. 

Why?

Because no Indian app is famous, even in India forget about outside. This is after we have been boasting of being IT backbone of entire world for over 3 decades now?

What use of such IT skills when we can't create even a single world famous app?

They say English speaking skill is an edge for Indians. Chinese don't have this skill. But what english has done is make us IT coolies across the world. Nothing more.

Indian IT success has not given us any edge in technology all these years. Whereas Chinese have built their own technology behemoths in all advance technologies today.

Who to blame?

Some thoughts on Jaati, Caste & Varna

There is too much negativity in Indian society and politics about castes, jati and varna. Politics has made it worse instead of solving it. Here are some of my thoughts on the same: 

1. Jaati is not caste and it's also not varna system.
2. Jaati is essentially a birth-based system.
3. Jaati is biological, main purpose seems to be endogamous. Indian society has largely been endogamous all along.
4. Jaati is also no heirarchycal system in society. All jaatis are essentially equal. Howerver it's us the people who based on importance have put them in heirarchy.
5. Jaati today makes sense only for the purpose of endogamy, that's also not to be followed strictly 
6. Every jaati is at the same level that maintains and supports the whole society.
7. Jaati systems help build knowledge in particular area over generations, skills thus acquired guided occupations
8. Jaati system deals with identity, the beliefs, traditions, geographical location, family lineage, language or dialects, customs, food habits, deities, eating/drinking habits,and propogates it through generations.
9. Today varna system has also lost it's meaning and importance.
10. Varna was only about categorising occupation so one gets into a varna once he/she starts working else one is not part of any varna
11. Today varna could be like groups of scientists, or businessman, or politicians...
12. In the past farmers have become kings, like Shivaji, or Bramans became rulers like Peshwas, 
13. There are 1000s of castes in India, can't be justified/blamed upon varna systems
14. Caste system did not come from vedas. It was created by britishers to manage Indian society just randomly.
15. People have always kept moving between their own traditional jobs non-kshatriya becoming kings
16. everyone was free to learn vedas and higher knowledge else how could artists create such wonderful temples, music, arts
17. Major kings of past 2-3 millenia were not necessarily Kshatriyas: rashtrakutas, cholas, mauryas were shudras, Shungas were brahmins, kakatiyas , Guptas were vaishyas,
18. Jaati has been very organic choice for Indian society all along.
19. Sampradaya: group of people following similar traditions like Shaivaism, strict follower of a guru, they follow a particular way of life within Hinduism. Lingayatism, is one such.

Home Schooling: Some Thoughts

During this pandemic, many are toying with idea of homeschooling so thought of jotting down my own idea of home schooling. Here are some of my ideas of homeschooling, you may modify them as per your beliefs:

1. engage kids in drawing /painting, Internet offers many ways 
2. ask kids to enolve themselves in paper kraft, etc.
3. teach them prayers/mantras/shlokas and their meaning
4. discuss spirituality with kids so they become human, not just salary-earning robots
5. Watch Ramayan/Mahabharat with kids and discuss it with kids, they will lean humanity, spirituality, history
6. get kids to practice yoga, pranayam and meditation daily. This is going to be the most important skills for professionals in this new world
7. Watch Historical TV series/Movies, kids will learn history, no need to force them to read books,
8. read stories and then recite to kids every day
9. involve kids in every house chore that you do at home, so they become independent.
10. behave with them as you want them to behave with you, kids don't leant being taught, they learn by observing
11. leave them free some times every day/week and let them do what they wish to do
12. encourage them to learn a new language , internet helps in it
13. let them make mistakes, don't ever shout at them for mistake , instead help them understand why they made mistakes, what they can learn from them, how they should avoid same mistakes again. Making mistakes is way to grow...
14. take kids on tour, not to malls, but to museum, historical places,
15. watch great YouTube videos on science, technology, etc. Based on kids' interests....
16. Most important of all, as parent envolve yourself in each of these acts, don't just tell kids to do this/that and you watch your favorite TV or gossip. Parenting is job where we have to forget ourselves.
17. Above all, have a discipline for kids, not in haphzard manner. Discipline is the most important.
18. Homeschooling is success only if parents are fully commtted to it. And parents themselves have to be student and be willing to learn...

Eduflation: Curse of India

Too many educated chasing too little jobs is eduflation.

With too many colleges mushrooming across and hardly any providing quality education, colleges churn up unqualified engineers, managers and graduates. Corporates can't employ them for obvious reasons. This whole system creates following problems:

1. undeserving degree holders flooding the job market, skewing unemployment market.
2. unfullfilled low level jobs which could have employed these youngs but since 'graduates' are over qualified so they wont do low level work.
3. Corporates not getting qualified employees.
4. Country and society suffering inspite of spending time, money and human resource.

This is the Eduflation.

Engineering colleges don't make engineers, management colleges don't make managers/salesman, other graduate colleges only produce degree holders. No skills are imparted in any college except few top notch colleges. Looks like whole higher education system is just crap.

Companies have to train again the recruits after uneducating them. Such a waste of resources.

What is needed is a different kind of schools/colleges where basic life education is given in schools and then on youngs go to skills specific training schools where only particular skills is given in dedicated manners only in few months e.g. schools for coding, salemanship, welding, car repair, etc. etc. Such skills could be given in upto 6 months, not more. They should be directly attached to actual work, not just theory. These training schools should be open to any age group.

Then there could be high quality higher education schools where there could be multiple ways to get into and there should ways for experienced people to get into, based on their experience and not only on degree....

A different level of education is needed today in this world, not the industrial level factory education to reduce Eduflation.

Here are some unanswered questions for Modi govt.

Here are some points where govt. seems to be not working which are very low hanging but high value fruits. This non-action looks puzzling and illintentioned.

1. Why not govt is not remove govt control from the temples from across India, instead they are taking more temples over like recently in Uttarakhand.
2. Govt not trying to rectify history?
3. Govt. not improving the quality of primary education?
4. Govt. has not control on the media which is doling out fake news regularly
5. There is no progress on corruption cases like 2G, CWG, etc.
6. There is no media strategy locally and globally for India
7. too many glitches in GST implementation and they have not been able to resolve them in 3 years
8. Govt not putting tab on school fee by private schools
9. There seems no concrete policy for economy and always uncoordinated decisions.
10. unnecessary support to minority ministry of which there is no need
11. unwarranted support to muslims in scholarship, tuition support
12. too much appeasement policy towards muslims and continues to encourage their wrong doings
13. no concrete policy decision towards vedic education/gurukul system
14. no strong actions on anti-india intellectuals, NGOs, 
15. no actions on JNU, AMU, JU academic institutions  despite so many evidence for anti-india activities in those institutes
16. Pakistan policy- too many and too regular killings of armymen but still there is no return to Pakistan except some hyperbole.
17. freedom to play provided to UrbanNaxals,
18. there are many headline hunting reforms for agriculture but no impact on ground for small farmers.

Chinese Corona Virus: And it's aftermath

World is completely shaken by the Chinese virus. Not a single country or territory is left untouched by this in the world. Every single person is talking about it. Every news sites is writing GBs worth of news every day, anyone you talk to is talking about only Corona.
Almost every country has imposed some level of lock down, somewhere entire countries are locked down. At this moment, it seems to be going out of hands for majority of govts. around the world. The world economy has completely come to a screeching halt suddenly.
Today individuals and govts are not thinking of growth, job and riches but only about saving lives.
This has also exposed how the world is vulnerable both economically and health-wise. And how connected we are to each other however far we may be physically in the world.
This has also exposed starkly our greed, our pursuit of materialistic goals, pleasures, naked exploits of the nature, leaving family, emotions, and community and pursuing materialistic success.
Once this all is gone, world has returned to normalcy, every individual and especially govts and policy makers will have to seriously think about the direction in which the world is going. Is pursuing materialism really worth it? This should be a question on the mind of everyone. Should we judge our growth only in terms of GDP numbers?

'Gifting' of Part of Kashmir to Pakistan and chacha Nehru

I was showing the below map to my kids and showed them that PoK & Azad Kashmir are actually Indian territories but have been 'gifted' to Pakistan by our belowed chacha Nehru. My kids were shocked and their next question was then why we call Nehru a freedom fighter? I had to go mum, had no answer.

Election For New India

The biggest festival of democracy anywhere and anytime in the world is about to begin. This keeps growing everytime it's celebtrated in India. Since 1947, it has been becoming better and more mature proving the confidence our founding fathers put in it barring a few maladies like way too much of appeasement by the most so called secular political parties of a particular community. This has really been endangering the very idea of democracy where every community, every group should be considered equal but to get extra votes parties have been resorting to apeasement for too long.
Last general election was the first which was really fought on the issue of development for all. And these 5 years really proved that this agenda can work wonders for parties as well as contry. Again the election are going to be fought on the same issue and citizens, the eligible 900 million voters must vote based on issue of development and not based on religion so that country progress fairly and the citizen gets quality of life. The last 5 years does prove that it's possible.
All opposition parties this time are facing existential threats because the electorates have decisively rejected the politics of apeasement and they want only issue of development and confidence.

Reading to Internalize

Just reading a book for the sack of reading and finishing it is not much value except you can boast of having aread a book.

Until what you read becomes part of your wisdom, not just knowledge, that reading is of not much use. You will not be in position to use that knowledge, that information you got from reading the book.

So in order to make the reading useful, you have got to have a strategy to read a book.

There is no doubt that reading makes you smarter, every page you read leaves you smarter, even if you dont remember anything from that reading. But that reading has definitely left some impression on your mind and probably on the subconscious mind.

Warren Buffett claims to read 80% of his daily time, he reads around 500 pages each single day. 

No doubt he is a billionaire today. 

When you read a lot, read variety, it builds upon itself over period, you generate your own knowledge and wisdom.

But a wrong reading habit can leave you exhausted, devoid of much knowledge and frustrated at the end. Because 

even though you are reading a lot but you are not gaining in wisdom proportionately. 

This is because your reading technique is not correct.

The way a wrong batting/bowling technique can ruin the career of an International cricketer, similarly incorrect

reading technique can damage you.
